Watershed is aimed at working artists who do not have the time, inclination or finance to construct and maintain a site of the quality that will complement the quality of their work.

If you are a larger organisation with a high turnover, you will probably want a dedicated web site on your own domain name. But for most people, a communal site offers a number of benefits:

Strong Design - Shared costs of a design which is developed and improved over time

Reliable Hosting - your site will be hosted on very reliable servers based in BT House in London

Constant Promotion - Shared promotional and search engine optimisation costs

Web Site Maintenance - Good presentation and maintenance without any technical or IT knowledge

Time saving - most artists will appreciate this aspect as their work tends to be all important

You own web address - eg: www.watershed-galleries/mysite

Email - your own address at Watershed - eg: my.name@watershed-galleries.co.uk

Support services - A range of support services if required

Standard Services

Your own web site - you will have three or your own pages on the Watershed web site - an about the artist page, an exhibits page and a contact page - plus five detail pages - see next.

Detail pages - each exhibit can be clicked to lead to separate display pages that shows a large scale version of the exhibit picture.

We will construct the pages for you - you just send us the photographs and text content. We will make the small and large versions of your pictures. We will also edit and check your text if required.

Updating your site - you will be able to make five updates or changes to your exhibits during the year - just email or phone in your changes. Changes to your contact details or personal page may be made at any time.

Email address - as standard we supply (if required) an email address such as my.name@watershed-galleries which will automatically forward to any email address of your choosing - eg: a Yahoo or BT Internet email address.

Additional Services

Extra exhibit pages. Each exhibit page can have up to five exhibits. However, you may have up to 5 extra exhibits pages, allowing the display of up to 30 items including your standard exhibits page. Each extra exhibits page has the same update/change facilities as the standard page.

Photographic services. You may supply your own photographs to us in print or digital form. However, it is important for the communal site as a whole that all photographs are of a good standard. We can undertake photography for you in our studio or at your location if required.

If we undertake photography for you, we will not only use the photographs on your web site, but supply them to you on disc (CD) at a quality and resolution suitable for all print requirements, eg: brochure, postcard, exhibition programs, magazine features, etc.

Print Services. We can supply your exhibit pictures on printed media. Postcards and mini postcards in particular are very useful to supply at exhibitions, but we can also lay up, or lay up and print other promotional materials such as flyers and exhibition programmes.

Prices

Join now and keep your costs down - the prices below are introductory costs but will be maintained for at least 3 years for any artists joining at this stage.

Monthly Standard service - £15 per month (standing order - minimum term of one year to cover setup costs) .

Annual Standard service - £150 per year - a modest saving on monthly payment

Extra exhibits pages - £45 per page p.a. including up to five update/changes per year

Photography in our studio - standard shoot including 5 pieces - £90 with an additional cost of £45 per extra 5 pieces. This cost assumes smallest pieces suitable for studio photography. Collection and return can be arranged at small additional cost. Photographs will be used on your site and supplied to you on disc at print quality.

Photography at your location - free quotation which will depend on your location and the type of pieces to be photographed.

Print services. We are happy to supply to supply all print services including professional quality brochures and programmes. Our graphic designer has an impressive CV including work for the MOD, B&Q, The International Festival of the Sea etc.
Typically, full colour postcards from our photography are available at £12 per 20 and mini-postcards (7cms x 5cms) at £10 per 40. Other sizes available.
