Spanish Football – Barcelona Placed a Record in La Liga With Their Win Over Deportivo

The current leader and unstoppable Spanish team, FC Barcelona, placed a new record in the history of La Liga by completing 50 points in the standings at halfway of the season. Barça defeated Deportivo La Coruña in great way, with a 5-0 final score on Saturday. The scorers for Barça were Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto’o and Thierry Henry, which together have become a very important part of the Barcelona’s success this season, having scored among the three of them a total of 41 of the 59 goals that the team has converted in the 19 games played so far in the season.

Barcelona has remained unbeaten since the opening game defeat against Numancia and has been consistent in their performance. Even so, for their coach Pep Guardiola, there are certain things his team can still correct and improve to fully get in their best shape.

“There are still things we aren’t doingufabet สมาชิกเว็บแทงบอล well. I got a good feeling, but there are always errors that need analyzing and correcting. We’ve managed to take a lot of points, but there are still things we can achieve and there remains a lot of the season. What comforts me is this spirit. The day we lose that, it will lead to defeat,” expressed coach Guardiola.

During La Liga Day 19, Lionel Messi scored in great way his 12th goal of the season at minute 21, when with his speed; beat three players from Deportivo and made a great shot in the corner of the right post. Just six minutes later, Henry headed a pass from Daniel Alves scoring his first goal of the game. Afterwards during minute 42′ Eto’o was left alone to convert the third goal for Barcelona. After halftime things got worse for Deportivo when Henry scored the fourth goal, his 11th of the season. Finally, with just four minutes left in the game, Aranzubia got a bad tackle on Carles Puyol, resulting in a penalty. Samuel Eto’o converted the penalty and added his 18th goal of the season.

With this victory, Barcelona is now 12 points ahead of Real Madrid and Sevilla, who are in second and third place of La Liga table respectively, with just one goal of difference between them. Behind Sevilla is Valencia with 34 points.

This is one of the best seasons that Barcelona has had, not only in the Spanish League, where they have lost only seven points this season, but also in the Champions League, where they’re currently in the knockout stage, and the Copa del Rey, where they have passed through the quarterfinals. However, for the players and the coach Pep Guardiola, this season could make history if they win the title, but it will only be a story if they don’t. So for them there is no time to stop, they need to continue improving and working hard to achieve their main goal, the Spanish League title.

Fantasy Football Player Analyzer – Tom Brady

With the proliferation of committee backs across the NFL, the impact of a fantasy RB is no longer what it used to be. Of course there are exceptions to this such as if you are lucky enough to snag a Chris Johnson, Adrian Peterson, or Maurice Jones-Drew but as a whole, the NFL more than ever are using two backs a scheme to keep everyone fresh for a potential postseason run. So what we are seeing this fantasy draft season is that more than in recent memory, owners are getting are making the decision to grab their QB when slotted at the end of the first round instead of taking a RB that is less that the top of the heap. And as far as my opinion goes, I think this is a smart move. Let me explain:

With the widespread use of the committee with regards to running backs, the position is deeper than ever before and solid starters like Jonathan Stewart or Ronnie Brown can be hand as late as the sixth round based on mock draft central numbers. The QB position however is very shallow this season as there is a clear drop off after the top eight of Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Philip Rivers, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Matt Schaub, and Tony Romo. That makes it more imperative to get a top QB before the third round is over or else you are looking at solid but not as steady names like Eli Manning, Kevin Kolb, Jay Cutler, etc.

So today in THE PLAYER ANALYZER, we look at Patriots QB Tom Brady who is falling a bit under the radar this drafting season. Brady on average is being selected 4th or 5th in drafts behind Manning, Rodgers, Brees, and sometimes Romo. This after two years ago being the NFL MVP when Brady broke the NFL record for most TD passes in a year. Is is the gruesome knee injury in 2008 that is making owners look the other way? Was ufabet ทีเด็ดบอลสเต็ป it the ragged play in the first half of last season before he went nuts the rest of the way??? Either way Brady is being undervalued so lets take a look at what we can expect from him this season.

For starters, there is this misconception that Brady has a bad year in 2009 when he made him comeback from the knee injury. That couldn’t be further from the truth as Brady finished with over 4,300 passing yards with 28 TD’s and 13 INT’s. That’s not 2008 numbers but top of the line fantasy QB numbers for sure. In fact Brady threw 2 more TD’s than Romo did. So the fact of the matter is that Brady made his way all the way back from the injury and looked like his old excellent self the second half of 2009. The injury is also something that owners shouldn’t think about as that was the only time that Brady has ever missed a game and he remains one of the toughest passers in the league. He certainly is more trustworthy in that department than Schaub and Romo who have had numerous injuries in their pasts and the injury issue is huge when it comes to the QB position; even more than at RB or WR. If a fantasy team loses their top QB, than the season most likely will turn into a disaster in a hurry. The loss of a top RB is no longer a death sentence due to all the committee backs flooding the market and WR is always the deepest position in fantasy. QB however is the shallowest and as we said after the top eight guys, things drop off in a hurry. That’s why Brady is so valuable and makes such a great pick. You know he will be there in the lineup come Sunday.
